Title: I Survived the Shark Attacks of 1916
Author: Lauren Tarshis
Rating (Out of 5): 5
A connection to the book: My connection is when after the attack a guy caught the shark and once at the beach I saw a man catch a shark and kill it. It was sad. So he took it home and ate it for dinner. It is not fair to kill sharks. We kill sharks more than they kill us.
Genre: Historical fiction
Recommended ?: yes
Why or why not? I would recommend it to a friend because the character saved one of his friend's life and this made him a good friend. The book was interesting because Sid was frozen with fear in the water and his friend jumped in to save him and lost part of his leg from saving his friend. This made him extremely brave because getting attacked by a shark was his biggest fear.
