Ladies and gentleman of Carriage Hill,
I am glad to see so many students posting on our Carriage Hill reading blog. Let me explain how this works...
After you fill in and send a survey it comes to a special email account that only I can see and read. I cut and paste your responses into a blog and then post it. So it is not immediate. It takes a day or two. I am sorry that I got so behind, but I spent some time in the hospital and then at home recovering from pneumonia. But I am better now and it is my goal to catch back up!!!
The contest connected with this blog has some rules. First of all, I am only counting summer reading. I would prefer that you only post about books you have read recently and not through out the school year. Maybe later we will change this rule, but for the sake of the contest this summer that is one of the rules. That starts everyone out on the same playing field.
One thing I forgot to mention is that I also edit your surveys. I make sure I copy exactly what you put on the survey, but I will not allow misspellings or misinformation.
When you are writing on the survey make sure that you capitalize the title of the book and the author's name. Also capitalize the word I!!! Do your best spelling- ask a grown up for help with trickier words. It takes me a long time to edit and correct everyone's survey and you could be a big help with that!!!
Keep reading!! I will catch up with the posting- I promise!!!
Thanks,
Ms. Spurck
