A connection to the book: My connection was that I used to climb trees all the time just like this boy did. But he has lots more imagination then me. My connection was that he asked the tree for a nice warm house. and he asked the tree for lots of other things and the tree gave him those things and now he thinks he'll get everything from the giving tree.
Genre: fantasy

Why or why not? Yes I would recommend this book to someone else because it is such a good book about this boy that finds this tree that he thinks is his friend. So every time he needs something he thinks the tree will give it to him.
